Having been raised in Portland, Oregon — a city with a plethora of food trucks in every neighborhood across the city — it’s no wonder I’m so satisfied that Maui’s food truck scene continues to expand each year.
For pizza lovers searching for a unique and tasty pizza on Maui, The Grateful Dough pizza truck located adjacent from Costco in Kahului, Maui, is one I recommend.

The creative chef behind this pizza food truck is known for providing Maui’s Original Venison Pizza. His pizzas feature locally sourced venison combined with non-gmo Polselli flour, Italian San Marzano tomatoes, Lupara buffalo-milk mozzarella, locally grown organic veggies, and other fine meats.
On my first visit, I tried the Da Supreme Margarita pizza, pictured below. This tasty vegetarian pizza includes: San Marzano Tomatoes, Lupara’s buffalo mozzarella, ube ricotta, homemade macadamia mut pesto finished with black fermented garlic oil.
