I’ve eaten at Cafe O’Lei at the Plantation many times for for brunch, happy hour, and dinner, so I can give an accurate testimonial for its menus, service, and ambiance.

The menu leans toward being a foodie spot featuring farm fresh and seasonal cuisine. Happy Hour offers discounted drinks and tasty food, though the food menu is not extensive. The margherita flatbread at Happy Hour is quite tasty, and sometimes they offer a daily special of another type of flatbread pizza. I really love the lilikoʻi no-jito mocktail, which mimics the flavors of a mojito and has fresh mint that is very refreshing paired with the passionfruit.
For dinner, I’ve had the lobster risotto and the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi on previous visits. With the mahi mahi dish, I substitute the potatoes for salad since I’m allergic to potatoes. On my most recent visit, I also got to enjoy their Kona Coffee Mud Pie for dessert.

Their weekend brunch menu is pretty fabulous. I celebrated my birthday with girlfriends during brunch this year. The restaurant has beautiful mountain views and lots of great places to take photos. With the lovely views and awesome mill machinery, this Maui restaurant is a great spot for couples and dates.

Cafe O’Lei at the Plantation took over the Mill House location at Maui Tropical Plantation. Cafe O’Lei restaurants on Maui are known for fresh, high quality food with great vibes and good service. They have a Kihei restaurant worth checking out as well.
If you decide to eat here, be sure to tell them you heard about them from the Maui Dining Guide website!
